West Jefferson, OH – West Jefferson Local Schools is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jenn Brown as the new Principal of West Jefferson Middle School. Jenn brings nearly two decades of experience as a dedicated educator, instructional leader, and administrator to our district.
Jenn has served as the Assistant Principal/Assistant Curriculum Director for West Jefferson Middle School and High School for the last three years. Prior to coming to West Jefferson, Ms. Brown was in Reynoldsburg City Schools, where she served as Assistant Principal at Hannah Ashton Middle School and Data Facilitator at Waggoner Road Junior High. Her extensive background includes:
Instructional Excellence: Years of experience as an ELA Teacher and Department Chairperson, focusing on 21st-century skills and Ohio Learning Standards.
Data-Driven Results: Expert in using data to inform instruction, coordinating diagnostic testing, and leading the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) process to ensure every student's needs are met.
Professional Mentorship: A credentialed OTES 2.0 Teacher Evaluator, Jenn is passionate about coaching staff and fostering reflective practices to improve the educational environment.
Ms. Brown holds two Master's Degrees, one in Educational Leadership from Wright State University and a second in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Ohio University. She currently serves as an adjunct faculty for Grand Canyon University where she facilitates courses in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Jenn is a firm believer in building strong rapport and maintaining a calm, optimistic presence in the school building. Her approach centers on creating equitable educational experiences and ensuring a safe, engaging environment where students can maximize their learning potential.

Beyond the classroom, Jenn has served as a track coach, cheerleading advisor, and yearbook advisor, demonstrating her commitment to the complete student experience.
