Jefferson Local Schools

Dear Jefferson Community, 

We are thankful that voters have approved the renewal of the 1.0% earned income tax for Jefferson Local Schools. This renewal helps ensure that we can continue delivering the quality education and services our students and staff deserve. 

Your support allows the district to maintain stable funding from classroom instruction and transportation to building operations and student programs. Because of your commitment, our schools can move forward without interruption and we can continue providing a safe, engaging learning environment for every child. 

Please join me in welcoming Paula Nance to the Board of Education. Mrs. Nance was elected in last night’s general election, and we look forward to the positive impact that she will make on our schools and students.  Mrs. Nance and Mrs. Newman will be sworn in for their term in January.

I also want to extend my sincere thanks to Whitney Duemmel for her dedicated service to the Jefferson Local Schools Board of Education for the last five years. Serving on a Board of Education is not easy, and I’m grateful to her for her service. 

Thank you to everyone who took time to learn about the levy and take part in the election. Your participation reflects the strong support this community has for its schools.
