The fifth graders have been practicing reading and writing music from the staff containing all known solfa - HIGH DO, LA, SOL, MI, RE, DO, LOW LA, and LOW SOL.  We have also been learning new song literature containing a new sound that is between SOL and MI and will introduce it later this month.  Our composer that we are studying this quarter is Claude Debussy.  Also later this month we will be working on learning the letter names of the treble staff in order to prepare for our Recorder unit coming soon!
