HVAC Upgrades

Some of our most important school equipment is out of sight, but it shouldn't be out of mind. The current chillers providing air conditioning to both of our school buildings are approaching 20 years old and will need to be replaced within the next 5 years. Permanent improvement funds would allow us to proactively replace these aging units, ensuring our classrooms remain comfortable and conducive to learning year-round.

Purchase of School Buses

Reliable transportation is the foundation of the school day. Currently, our district operates a fleet of 13 buses, but 4 of them are over 10 years old. Additionally, our student transport van has reached the 10-year mark and is due for replacement. Permanent Improvement funds will allow us to cycle out these aging vehicles, ensuring our students travel in safe, efficient, and dependable modern transit.

Athletic & Building Repairs

Maintaining facilities that are over 20 years old comes with rising repair costs. Permanent Improvement funds would be used to proactively update aging buildings, security features, and athletic spaces—protecting our community’s original investment and creating a better environment for the next generation.

From fresh asphalt to updated equipment, these proposed parking lot renovations are all about improving safety, accessibility, and the daily drop-off/pick-up experience for everyone.

Why it matters

Maintaining safe, functional buildings requires a dedicated, reliable funding source. This levy ensures Jefferson Local Schools can address critical infrastructure needs without drawing from classroom budgets.
