This morning there was a statement written on a restroom stall that prompted initiation of the high/middle school emergency operations plan and a building lockdown. The administration immediately contacted the West Jefferson Police Department. A rapid assessment of the situation then took place with all involved parties. Additional first responders arrived on campus and took over the incident command post; a sweep of the building then took place. Within one hour after arriving, the incident command gave an all clear to resume normal operations at the facility. This incident is currently under investigation by the West Jefferson Police Department.
