Letter to Parents - Revised Cafeteria Breakfast and Lunch Procedures
A PDF of this text is located below as well.

Food Service is happy to serve your students delicious and nutritious breakfasts and lunches during these unprecedented times. We will be following food service guidelines from our health department. We are asking for social distancing while each student is seated in the cafeteria. At the Middle and High School we will only be offering a pre-packaged lunch meal or chef salad. The students will place their order on a google doc form in the morning for the meal they want. At Norwood, the students will be offered a choice of a pre-packaged lunch or peanut butter & jelly lunch. The teacher will take a count of what is ordered.

It is preferable that money be placed on the student’s cafeteria account via Meal Pay.  However, the cafeteria will accept cash and checks but there will be no exchanged money back to the student.  For example, your student brings in $20 for their meal, the $20 will go into their account.  When money is received, there will be no money given back to the student.   It will be placed into their cafeteria account.
We will also be offering breakfast and lunch to go home for the Hybrid (3 day) and E-Learning (5 day) students. We will have a google doc form to order the meals. An email will be sent to each student with a link to the google doc.  Each student will need to fill out a form or call Christine Elkins at 614-801-2184 to order your To Go Meals.

The meal pickup is scheduled for Wednesdays from 10:30 am-12:30 pm at the high school cafeteria back door. If Wednesday pick up time is a hardship, another time arrangement may be possible.

  • Group A would pick up 3 meals (breakfast and lunch) for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
  • Group B would pick up 3 meals (breakfast and lunch) for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
  • E-Learners would pick up 5 meals (breakfast and lunch) for Monday through Friday.

These meals will be charged to your student’s meal account based on their free, reduced, or full pay status. We do not expect a waiver from the USDA, as we had in the spring when the pandemic first started. Meals in school or sent home will be priced as shown below.
