The mission of Jefferson Local School District is to provide the foundation for lifelong learning through a student focused education. Partnering with administrators, teachers, support staff, parents, and the community, I aim to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging, and relevant curriculum for grades six through twelve based on standards that meet the needs of all our students in order for them to be successful in life. I want to ensure that each and every child has the learning opportunities to be successful with the curriculum, and I will help and support changes to teaching and learning so that all students will be productive and responsible citizens. As the Curriculum Director, I will support teachers in continuous improvement of their knowledge and skills, and in delivering rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum equitably across the district.
The Director of Curriculum contributes to teacher preparation, educational research and service, and assists in the development and implementation of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development. It is my goal to be a resource and to provide high-quality curriculum support to administrators and teachers through providing best practices, interventions, and tools to support curriculum and instruction. Improving student achievement and educational experiences for the students of Jefferson Local School District is a priority of mine.
