Dear Parents: Jefferson Local Schools is always looking for ways to improve our communications with technology, while also trying to save time and money when we can. One of the new features that ProgressBook allows for is interim and report cards being viewable online, as opposed to having a paper copy sent home. As a district, we’ve decided to take advantage of this feature as it will be a huge time and cost savings. You can still receive a paper copy if you wish or do not have internet access to view the online copy.
Starting with the second nine weeks report card, those will be viewable online unless you request a paper copy be sent home. These can be found by logging into your ProgressBook Parent Access account and clicking on “Report Card” on the left hand side of the screen. There are then two links towards the top that will help you. The first is: “View Paper Report Card”. This is what you will click to see the online version of the paper report card. The other link; “View Paper History”, will keep a copy of all report cards that we publish online starting with the 2nd nine weeks. Because changes might occur after the grading period ends due to completion of work or test scores, report cards online will be updated with any changes within 2 weeks of the grading period ending. If you do not have a Parent Access account for ProgressBook please contact your child’s building. Besides using it to look at Interim and Report Cards, it is also a great tool during the grading period to keep up with your child’s academic progress and receive alerts on missing assignments or low grades.
A letter will be coming home soon and if you'd like a paper copy of report cards sent home, just fill out the bottom portion and return it to school.
