Solar Eclipse Viewing Information
With the Solar Eclipse happening on Monday, August 21st, Jefferson Local Schools will be educating all students in all three buildings about proper safety during an eclipse and not looking directly at it without proper eye protection. Middle School and High School sports practices that occur outside will start at 3:30pm, although coaches might have meetings inside beforehand. Please talk to your individual coach if you have any questions about that.
Norwood Elementary has purchased some approved eyewear for viewing and some classrooms might choose to go out and view the solar eclipse. If you would prefer that your student NOT participate, please fill out the form below to opt out of the viewing and bring the completed form to the open house on Thursday night or have your student bring it on the first day of school. There will be blank forms to fill out on open house night as well.
